Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist

I've just learned that they are making a movie of Rachel Cohn and David Levithan's excellent teen novel, Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist. The movie stars Michael Cera (from Juno) as Nick and Kat Dennings as Norah. It's coming in Fall 2008 and looks to be a pretty great flick.

For those that don't know, Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist was a Brooks Public Library Online Book Club pick for teen readers last year. You can check out our current Online Book Club picks over at the Book Club Blog.

COMPUTER SYSTEM IS LIVE

The Brooks Public Library's new computer system is up and running! It's a brand new look for our digital services: check out the new online catalogue HERE. The library is once again running all services, but there may be some minor delays as our library staff learn the ropes of the new system.

Programs are also running again at the library! Toddler Time and Story Time both start up again next week on Tuesday, March 25th. There are still some spaces left, so sign up before the sessions fill! English as a Second Language programs also start next week. Both ESL Family Story Time and the ESL Book Club begin on Sunday, March 30th.

We also have some 'Living in Canada' series talks coming up immediately:

Today, Tuesday, March 18th at 4:30pm: 'Post Education and You'
Wednesday, April 2nd at 12;05pm: 'Family Law'

The 'Living in Canada' series talks are free of charge and no registration is necessary. If you are new to Canada, work with new Canadians, or just want to learn more about these topics, be sure to stop in and listen!
